• Memorial and Expressive Gifts
  When someone close to you passes away, consider sending a memorial contribution to the ALA of Tennessee in lieu of flowers. Your memorial gift will have important lasting impact. We will send a prompt acknowledgment card to the family of the deceased and you will receive verification from ALA acknowledging your gift. Gifts may also be made in observance of someone's birthday, anniversary, recovery from an illness, quitting smoking or other special occasions. Call us to make a contribution or download the memorial donation/expressive gift card here and send to the American Lung Association of Tennessee®.

  We will send a prompt acknowledgement card to the family of the deceased or the person you are honoring with your memorial gift to the lung association. You will receive verification from ALA acknowledging your gift. Thank you.

• Include us in your will
  The official bequest language for the American Lung Association is: "I, [name], of [city, state, ZIP], give, devise and bequeath to the American Lung Association [city, state, ZIP], [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] to be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion and purpose deems appropriate."

Health Fair Ambassador
Represents the American Lung Association of Tennessee® at health fairs and conferences. Staff a table, answer questions, smile and be friendly!

Office Volunteer
Works in one of our offices (Nashville and Chattanooga), helping to answer phones, answer requests for information, prepare mail, make copies, etc.

Speakers' Bureau
Introduces the public to the American Lung Association of Tennessee® by giving talks at meetings of civic clubs, schools, senior citizens and others.

Asthma Educator
Teach children with asthma how to manage their disease with our "Open Airways for Schools" curriculum.

Smoking Cessation Facilitator
Help smokers quit by leading them through our smoking cessation clinic, Freedom From Smoking®, the "gold standard" of smoking cessation programs.

Fundraising Event Volunteer
Depending on the event, you may be registering walkers, decorating a benefit dinner, addressing envelopes or handing out T-shirts.

Advocacy Volunteer
Help spread the word about the importance of lung health related legislation. Learn how to impact policy change at both state and federal levels. Click here.

• Give us your used vehicle!

  Don't trade it, donate it! Donate your used car or truck to the American Lung Association of Tennessee® and we will arrange to have it picked up free of charge. It's easy and convenient and you may be eligible for a tax deduction as well!

  Why donate my car? It's much easier to donate your used car than it is to sell it yourself. And the tax savings might even be more than what you would receive from a trade in. Your donation will support the American Lung Association of Tennessee's ® programs in asthma management, tobacco control, air quality and funding research to promote lung health.
